Finals

Question #23 (maybe it wasn't even number 23)

Scientists took a salamander's sample of embryonic cells. They take the cells from the skin on its back and then places it on the jaw area. Would it

a) Grow skin on top of the jaw because that's what the surrounding cells of the jaw would do so
b) Grow teeth on the jaw because it's on a new environment
c) Be undifferentiated
d) Grow to be both skin and teeth

So this random question was implanted within my psychology final at 8 this morning. Smack dab in the middle. I picked "c' knowing that embryonic cells have DNA of their own and wouldn't just mutate...shoot, or maybe it would? The chapters we covered for this exam were about cognitive and social development. I don't see how stem cells would relate. I was internally outraged seeing that this question would throw me off my mojo for the final. Okay, so more like frustrated with the fact that I didn't know the real answer to this and it's killing me that I still don't know it.

Alas, finals are finally over and now I need to do is pack.
