Skateboarding

I wish I knew how to so I can show up the douche bag that decided to ridicule me for holding a board!

Friday afternoon, I just got out of class and finished with grocery shopping. Lewis left a few msgs and wanted me to meet him for lunch. "Could you bring me my board?" he asked. "Of course," I thought. I got ready, grabbed his skateboard and headed to UTC to meet him.

I got off the shuttle and didn't see Lewis. There was a mix up, considering how I couldn't call him, I thought he was still at the student center so I decided to head there later. I walked over to Gen first though, still with the skateboard. Now I know there are some awkward ways to hold a board so I held it as normally as possible, not really thinking much about it. While I walked over, some guy just stood there on his phone smiling and gawking at me. "What?" I said. "You know you're supposed to put that thing on the ground and actually ride it?" he said. This is at the point where I'm not sure whether to be pissed 'cause he's sexist or feel awkward and embarrassed. I just told him it wasn't my board and walked away.

In the end I did find Lewis after all and told him about the whole incident. The afternoon ended with sushi and shopping with Nancy.

Moral of the story: Learn how to ride a skateboard and smack that guy (if I ever see him again) in the balls for being such a dick.
